What we hold about people, where it comes from, and how to ask us to stop — written in plain English, because that is how we would want to read it.
We are a specialist recruitment firm placing people across supply chain, logistics, aviation and the industries that surround them. Apta Recruitment Ltd is registered in England & Wales, company number 17376512, and is the data controller for the information described on this page — the business responsible for looking after it. You can reach us about anything here at info@aptarecruitment.com.
This notice covers the two groups of people whose details we hold — hiring contacts at companies, and candidates — plus visitors to this website. Last updated 17 October 2026.
We only ever hold what we need to make a relevant, individual introduction — nothing more.
Work details only: your name, job title, company and work email address — occasionally an office phone number. These come from public sources: live job advertisements, your company’s own website, the Companies House register, and specialist business-data providers. We may also use an email-verification service to check an address works before we write to it. We use these details for one purpose — to write, individually, to the person a live vacancy concerns, about that vacancy and our recruitment services.
Professional details — your current role, employer, experience and location — and contact details, which can include a personal email address, because a possible move is rarely something you can discuss on your work inbox. These come from public professional profiles and specialist business-data providers. They are used for one thing only: a one-to-one approach about a specific role. Candidate details are never sold, never shared for marketing, and never bulk-messaged.
We rely on what UK GDPR calls legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): as a recruitment business we have a genuine interest in contacting people about hiring, and the people we write to have a genuine interest in hearing about relevant roles and candidates. We keep that balance fair by holding work-relevant details, writing to people one at a time, and stopping the moment anyone asks.
When we first contact you, we tell you where your details came from — the job ad, the website, the public register or the data provider. That is our duty under Article 14 of UK GDPR, and it means there is never any mystery about how we found you.
On keeping things: business contact details stay on our records while they remain relevant to the work we do — that record is also what stops us contacting the same person twice. When we learn a detail is out of date, we correct or retire it. Candidate details are kept with the specific role we approached you about, never folded into a marketing database. And when anyone asks to be removed, we remove them straight away, keeping only the minimum needed to make sure they are never contacted again.
Ask us to stop, and we stop — instantly, every time.
One email to info@aptarecruitment.com takes your details off our records and onto our do-not-contact list, so they are never gathered again.
Nothing you type — there are no forms or accounts here, and the contact buttons simply open your own email. Our hosting provider, GoDaddy, records standard visitor statistics (pages viewed and the technical details every browser sends) to serve and secure the site, and the fonts load from Google Fonts, whose servers see the same standard request details. We run no advertising or marketing trackers.
To ask what we hold, correct something, or be removed from our records entirely.
